Scott Harris, Principal Bass
 Scott Harris has been principal bass for the Virginia Symphony since 1991, and has been featured as a
soloist in the Virginia Symphony Mozart and More Series (now Classics at St. Bede and Regent). He has also been
principal bass for the Macon, GA Symphony, assistant principal with the Atlanta Ballet Orchestra, and a soloist and chamber musician with the Virginia International Arts Festival. He has been a section bassist with the following orchestras: Savannah, GA, Charlotte, NC, Jacksonville, FL, and Charleston, SC. Mr. Harris currently is an instructor of double bass at ODU and has held posts at the Georgia Academy of music, Virginia Wesleyan, and Hampton University. He graduated from the Manhattan School of Music and Georgia State University.
