Geoffrey McBride, Principal Trumpet
Geoffrey McBride is currently in his fourth season as Principal Trumpet with the Virginia Symphony. Mr. McBride did his undergraduate work at the University of Louisville, followed by Master's work at Indiana University where he studied with Marie Speziale, former Associate Principal Trumpet of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. While at Indiana, he was Principal Trumpet of the Columbus Philharmonic. He also performed with the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, Evansville Philharmonic, Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra, and the Richmond Symphony. Mr. McBride has also placed numerous times in competitions including the National Trumpet Competition and the International Trumpet Guild Orchestra Competition. |  |
