Virginia Symphony League
The Virginia Symphony League is a dynamic support arm and volunteer force of the Virginia Symphony. League members share their talents, expertise, and enthusiasm to help provide the best in musical performance and education for all the people of Hampton Roads. The League contributes to the VSO through its Boutique sales and fundraising efforts. The League has made a commitment in 2009-2010 to give a portion of monies raised to VSO Education programs. League 2009-2010 Season Calendar
Holiday Luncheon with the VSO League and Opera Guild
Continuing a tradition for the fourth year, the VSO League and the Opera Guild will join together for a Holiday Luncheon at the Town Point Club on December 5, 2009. Musical entertainment will be provided by both VSO musicians and singers from the Opera.
Mark your calendars for the following 2010 events!
Helen G. Gifford Advisory Council -- A reception for League members who are part of this Council will be at Ernestine Middleton’s home on January 24, 2010.
Symphony Sunday Social – The next afternoon social will be February 28, 2010! Watch for your invitation in the mail in February.
Fashion Show Luncheon – A repeat of last year’s exciting and fun event! Do mark your calendar for this: April 17, 2010 at the Norfolk Yacht Club!

Dues are $40.00 for a single membership and $60.00 for a family membership.

Virginia Symphony Society of Greater Williamsburg
The Virginia Symphony Society of Greater Williamsburg supports the Symphony through fundraising, pre-concert dinners, receptions and special events. Members enjoy discounted concert tickets, a quarterly newsletter and invitations to events. Memberships are $40 for families, $25 for individuals, and $10 for students. VSSGW TO HONOR DON MURFEE
Don Murfee, senior vice president of The Trust Company of Virginia, will be honored at the 4th annual Gala Benefit of the Virginia Symphony Society of Greater Williamsburg. Toasting his selection and support of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra are his wife, Susan, right, and Gala Chairman Maureen Hall. The Gala will be held in April to benefit the orchestra.
Music in Your Life
The annual series begins January 28th. It takes place at the
Williamsburg Regional Library, and is free and open to the public.
Performers include members of the Virginia Opera, the Ambrosia Quartet,
vocalists doing the American Songbook, and pianist Bart Kuebler. All
concerts start at 7:30 p.m. The schedule:

VSSGW VAN RIDERS
Members of the Virginia Symphony Society Society of
Greater Williamsburg not only enjoy discounted Virginia Symphony
tickets, they now have van service to Friday night concerts at the
Ferguson Center in Newport News. A recent concert found these riders,
from left, Bert Aaron, Doris Whitson, Ann Sloan, Gladys Aaron, Ann
Snead, Evelyn Swart, Jeanine Schmidt, Barbara Haynes, Rice Trolan, and
Leanne and Doug Bollar, taking advantage of the ride to and from
Williamsburg. Call 229-7280 for information.
Young Friends Kickoff
The Virginia Symphony Society of Greater Williamsburg kicked off its "Young Friends of the VSO" initiative with a cocktail party at the home of Richard and Lara Overy.
