Christopher White, Assistant Principal Bass

Christopher White has been Assistant Principal Bass of the Virginia Symphony for the past six years. For 10 weeks each summer he plays with the Grant Park Orchestra in Chicago. Mr. White has also played with the Vermont Symphony and has been co-principal bass for the New World Symphony and principal bass for the New Bedford, MA Symphony. Mr. White graduated from the University of Rhode Island and the Manhattan School of Music, where he received his Masters of Music. He currently teaches bass at the College of William & Mary, Christopher Newport University and the Governor’s School for the Arts as well as teaching privately.
