The fascinatin’ rhythms of George Gershwin will fill the air when the Virginia Symphony plays his greatest masterworks. Described by Gershwin as “a musical kaleidoscope of America,” “Rhapsody in Blue” has often been interpreted as a portrait of New York City through its use in films such as Woody Allen’s “Manhattan” and Disney’s “Fantasia 2000.” Join us as we perform this perennial favorite along with “American in Paris” and other favorites by Aaron Copland and Cole Porter. ‘S Wonderful!

Tickets available online 8/2/2010 or call 757.892.6388

Tickets: $20-$50
