There are many opportunities to incorporate the information in the Young People’s Concerts with the Standards of Learning through reading, oral presentations, research, history, scientific experiments, and other activities. Some of these areas are:
- Lives of composers and the geographic areas where they lived
- Musical instruments and families of instruments
- Identifying patterns
- Investigate and understand how sound is transmitted•
