Bison

Bison describes their music as Folkestral combining elements of alternative folk with classical sensibilities.  From Chesapeake, VA the band emerged from a group of family and friends this year and quickly gathered listeners who enjoy their spiritual depth, lyrical style and rootsy music.  Ben Hardesty (guitar, vocals) fronts the group and writes the songs which are then arranged with other band members including Ben's father, Dan (banjo, mandolin, vocals) and sister, Annah (bells, vocals.)  Other members include Andrew Benfante (reed organ), Jay Benfante (melodica, percussion), Teresa Totheroh (violin), and Amos Housworth (cello.)
