VIRGINIA SYMPHONY LEAGUE NEWSLETTER MAY 2014

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Dear League Members,

The season has gone by so quickly, and the League has done so much! We had two social gatherings that were well attended, and I think that everyone really enjoyed meeting with friends both old and new. The Previews, held at College Cross, were both interesting and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the January Preview with Joann Falletta had to be cancelled because of the snow storm. That was disappointing.

This month, we celebrate our musicians and VSO staff with our annual party/picnic. It was great fun last year, and we are really looking forward to doing it again. If you have not received your invitation, please let us know.

Our gala, held last November, was a huge success, and we are now planning another gala for  November 1, 2014.  Please feel free to step forward and offer your assistance. We need your help and will welcome you to join in the activities.

On June 8, at College Cross, we'll be holding our annual membership meeting and elections. It is really important for our members to be at that meeting. We welcome your ideas, suggestions and questions regarding our plans for the upcoming season. If you would like to have additional activities, let's talk about it. The League needs more membership involvement, and we hope to hear from you.

Sincerely,

Fran Pedersen
