The Virginia Symphony Orchestra is seeking production crew members to support the functions of the organization's orchestral activities department. Applicants should have at least 1 year experience at a comparable organization; must be able to juggle multiple tasks and problem solve; must be organized, detail-oriented, work well under pressure; must be able to work nights and weekends; must be able to handle physical work including lifting objects of up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 100 lbs., occasionally; must be able to take direction; must have a valid driver’s license. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential.

PATRON SERVICES ASSOCIATE

The Virginia Symphony Orchestra is seeking a part-time Patron Services Associate to support the functions of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra by providing customer service support in the ticket office and at multiple concert venues in which the orchestra performs. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and be able to make decisions quickly based on defined policies and procedures. Knowledge of Tessitura database and appreciation for symphonic music is a plus.

TELESERVICES REPRESENTATIVE

The Virginia Symphony Orchestra is seeking part-time teleservice representatives to make outbound phone calls for fundraising, ticket and subscription sales. This is an hourly position with the ability to earn commission and bonuses. All representatives will be trained to use an appropriate calling script, but must be able to control a telephone conversation in a courteous and relaxed manner and feel comfortable representing the VSO while asking for a financial commitment.
